Currys and PC World are the largest specialist electrical retailing and services operators in the UK & Ireland.  These operations are the focus of most of the work under the Renewal & Transformation plan.

We have created exciting new store designs including Megastores and 2-in-1 Currys & PC World superstores that give customers the best of both formats as well as wider ranges.

Our multichannel offering provides customers with the convenience of online and accessibility of stores, particularly through the Reserve&Collect facility.

We are improving the services we offer customers as well as the way we provide those services.  We operate the leading home delivery and installation network for electrical products in the UK and operate the largest modern repair facility for laptops and TV’s in Europe.


DIXONS Travel

Dixons Travel operates in all major UK airports as well as Dublin, Copenhagen, Rome and Milan and showcases the latest technology and a host of gadgets such as MacBooks, tablet PCs and a huge range of headphones, as well as iPods and cameras as well and an extensive accessory range such as cases and bags. Our colleagues are experts in technology and offer the best advice and support as well as competitive prices.

It is one of the UK’s largest specialist providers of IT solutions, consultancy and products to businesses and the public sector. DSGi Business offers a total IT solution for customers of all sizes, with more than one third of businesses and the public sector having a dedicated partnership DSGi Business. With a Catalist accreditation it is an approved reseller for the Catalist IT catalogue to the public sector, ranging from central government to local council departments, and schools to hospitals throughout the UK.


Among a number of tests of our services and products under way, we are trialling a new store concept in Birmingham. Called 'Black', it is positioned as the ultimate place to get up-close with the most wanted gadgets around, and opened in December 2010 in Birmingham High Street. The trial is proving to be a success, and in September 2011 we opened a second store in the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, London.

Black is rapidly gaining a reputation as a must-visit store, appealing to customers who love their brands and how their kit looks, and through that to a greater proportion of female customers.

As well as being a fantastic store in its own right, as a 'concept store', Black is being used to conduct trials for both new products and services for customers, as well as for new systems and technology for colleagues. Some of these trials - and the learnings taken from them - are now being adapted and integrated into the roll-out of our mainstream store portfolio.
