Corporate Governance

Dixons Retail maintains high standards of corporate governance for which the directors are collectively accountable. Sound governance is central to achieving the directors' prime objective of maximising shareholder value and comprises the processes by which the Group is directed and managed, risks are identified and controlled and effective accountability is assured.

We are part of the FTSE4Good index, membership of which results from an independent assessment of companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards. We are also a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes which track the financial performance of companies that lead their industries in terms of corporate sustainability.

Our goal for the coming year is to participate in the debate on corporate responsibility matters, representing company interests, and those of our stakeholders, in order to inform and develop policy (at European, national, local and internals levels). We will continue to develop the breadth and depth of internal corporate responsibility data gathered across Dixons Retail businesses.
