Dixons Retail Launches 'Design at Dixons' Service for Suppliers
Dixons Retail plc, one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retail and services companies, today announces the launch of 'Design at Dixons', an in-house design team which will provide high-quality design services to suppliers for their in-store displays within Dixons Retail's Megastores, Superstores, High Street and airport stores.
This follows a successful trial of the offer during 2011, with high quality in-store displays already created on behalf of leading suppliers such as Samsung, Sony and Miele. Dixons Retail continues to deliver a successful, customer-focused store transformation programme across Europe, reporting average gross profit uplifts in refitted stores of 20%, and significant rises in customer satisfaction data. Over 250 stores have been refitted in the UK alone.
Design at Dixons will build on the extensive knowledge and skill within the existing Dixons Retail team in developing dedicated supplier areas in-store, helping to demonstrate and showcase new products and technologies in an exciting, easy-to-shop and informative way. The team will offer suppliers a seamless way to roll-out the new designs and product launches across the Dixons Retail estate at a quicker rate than is currently possible.
The Design at Dixons team is UK based, but works across the Group's European store portfolio. The team will be managed by Chris Bright, Head of Design; Neil Hollins, Format and Design Director will oversee the initiative.
