Last-Minute Switchover Rush at Dixons Retail Stores

  • Small-Screen TV Sales  up nearly 600% yesterday year on year in London stores (Currys and PC World)
  • 'Digital Set Top Boxes up 1250% yesterday in London stores

"As we have seen in other regions throughout the Digital Switchover process, we have seen a steady rise in sales in the affected region over the last few months," comments Seema Patel, Category Manager for Digital Services at Dixons Retail plc. "In the last week for example, we enjoyed a 349% year on year rise in demand for Digital Services in our London stores. We have tailored our range and stock for Digital Switchover, and it is clear that customers have appreciated friendly advice and great value products from Currys and PC World."
