Dixons Retail plc, Europe's leading electrical specialist multi-channel electrical retailer and services company, announces the appointment of Andrea Gisle Joosen as a non-executive director with effect from 1 March 2013.
Andrea has extensive international business experience in a variety of sectors including consumer electronics, having spent part of her career as Managing Director for Panasonic Nordic AB. She is currently Chief Executive of Boxer TV Access AB in Sweden and previously held senior executive positions with Chantelle AB (Nordic Region), Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Johnson and Johnson. She is currently a non-executive director on the boards of Hakon Invest AB and Neopitch AB.
Commenting on the announcement, John Allan, Chairman of Dixons Retail plc, said, "I am delighted that Andrea has agreed to join our board. She brings with her a wealth of business experience in the consumer electronics sector and an in depth knowledge of the Nordic region."
